Totally fun score and that main theme is great. Morricone should have won for THE MISSION, plain and simple. All the other years, there were stronger scores IMO. But that doesn't negate the fact that he has never won a competitive Oscar. Now that he has the honorary Oscar, I seriously doubt he'll ever win one for Original Score. They don't feel the need to award him now. But maybe I'm wrong... I like THE UNTOUCHABLES as well. Totally fun score and that main theme is great. There are a couple of source cues that you can probably skip, but the way Fenton meshes his orchestral writing with Gwangwa's choral writing is particularly effective. And if you can find a vinyl copy of GANDHI, I heartily recommend that too. Oddly enough, that's never been released on CD. Ah vinyl... Please do!
