Sounds like the time I was conducted by Robert Shaw when we did the Berlioz "Requiem." He invited myself and the principal flute to audition for the Atlanta Symphony, which he was conducting at the time. I sent in an audition tape, but never followed up. Stupid. Oh well. That’s cool!
